Supposedly, today was the first time the NY subways had ever been flooded out by rain. Of course, I slept through the storm so I knew nothing of it.
We had planned on leaving for the airport 2 hours early to ensure plenty of time but it turns out that was not nearly enough.
The whole city was backed up and all of the many cabs that were going by were occupied. We joined a long line outside the hotel for taxi. As luck would have it (or so it would seem), a taxi shows up and refuses to take the people in front of us who aren't traveling far enough. I holler out that we are headed to the airport and he agrees to take us.
We climb in the taxi with much rumbling from everyone we skipped in line behind us. I can't blame them.
However, this was a bad, bad move. The taxi dude is shady and proceeds to drive from hotel to hotel looking for others to go to the airport as he wants a full taxi. He also refuses to turn on the meter. After an hour of him driving in circles and me complaining that we had to get to the airport, he pulls over and makes us get out.
We are now an hour from our flight time and no closer to the airport. We panic and start running for the bus station. Several New Yorkers refuse to get out of my way and get run over. I literally knocked one asshole to the ground who refused to budge after I said excuse me to him 3 times so that I could pass.
I clocked another guy who was busy texting somebody and refused to let me by when I said excuse me. He ended up dropping his phone when I shoulder checked him and cursed me out.
We get to the bus and the bus takes 50 minutes to get us to the airport leaving us 10 minutes to spare. However, we have to check bags and there is a 3 hour long line at the terminal. Plus security was acting all crazy as someone earlier snuck a monkey onto a plane under his hat.
I make some calls to the airline begging for a new flight as we wait in line. Everything finally gets worked out and we get a new flight, get our bags checked and get through security.
We get on the plane and it turns out, it is oversold so we wait an hour and a half while they ask for volunteers to leave the plane. They weren't offering much money so there were no takers until someone just got fed up with the wait and got off the plane.
All in all we had a great trip. I got to know my girl much better and found out that we are really compatible. She still has some personal issues she has to get worked out before I would consider having a commitment with her but it is headed that way. Since my goal in learning pick up techniques is to eventually get married and have a family, this is a step in the right direction.
New York is a lot of fun but something has to be done about the bars. Poor beer choices, no Tuaca and expensive drinks won't cut it with this Texas boy. Plus, most bartenders don't know what is going on in town. If that is your profession, you should be in the know.
Finally, I wasn't all that impressed with the talent pool. We probably hit a total of 50 bars or clubs and only found hotties in a few places. Disappointing.
On the plus side, the food is great, the shopping is excellent, the show we went to was wonderful and there is tons to do. Its not my favorite place but would definitely go back again for a 4th time.
And for all of the single guys in NYC, you need to come to Texas to check out the women. Austin and Dallas show NYC up as far as talent goes. So does Arizona, L.A. and Vancouver....
After my girl and I get back to Dallas, we debate about going out but are on the fence. I text several buddies to see if they are out and can sway our decision. No one is out so we decide to stay in and drink wine and watch movies.
We crawl into bed, break out the toys I bought us again and have a fun, kinky night with just the two of us.

it seems like you dont have as much game (if any) than cj
I am not exactly sure what you mean, anonymous. as the grammer in your comment is atrocious....
I have never claimed to have game like CJ as he is very, very good at what he does. I am not an approach coach like he is nor have I taken any PUA classes or seminars. I am just a guy working on improving myself which is why I undertook the 30 day challenge.
I have a very successful dating life compared to the average Joe but want it to be better. I would hope that the majority of readers of this blog would understand this.
